The creative process behind NILA
In the world of branding and marketing, creating a concept is often like shaping a sculpture from raw material. We start with an idea, sometimes as rough as alabaster, and then give it shape and definition. The process requires vision, skill and a generous dose of creativity. Today, we explore the fascinating process of bringing the NILA concept to life.

The beginning: alabaster lighting

It all began with an idea: lighting made from alabaster. Alabaster, a beautiful, translucent stone, has been used for sculptures and ornaments for centuries. But how do you translate this unique material into a modern lighting concept? This was our challenge.

Developing the concept: connection and creativity

The strength of a concept lies not only in the product, but also in the story behind it. For NILA, this was a story of natural beauty, sustainability and craftsmanship. It was essential that every element, from the naming to the visual identity, should tell and reinforce this story.

NILA, short for New Innovations in Lighting Architecture, is a name that captures the concept in an acronym. Poetry of Light, the tagline, conveys in romantic terms that a NILA lamp is not just a lamp. It is a poem, a symphony of shadow and brightness that tells a story.

Creating a concept requires a deep understanding of the product, the market and the target audience. We asked ourselves questions such as: What makes alabaster lighting unique? How can this product transform a space? What emotions do we want to evoke in the target audience?

Rollout: digital campaigns and web presence

With the concept firmly in place, the next step was to create an online presence that would tell NILA's story. A website that was not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing and aligned with the brand identity.

The digital campaigns needed to convey NILA's story and unique value. Through social media and other online platforms, we sought to connect with potential customers, using both visual storytelling and targeted marketing techniques.

Reflecting on the process

As with every project, the development process for NILA was a journey. A journey that began with a rough idea and ultimately led to a beautiful, cohesive concept.

This project reminded us of the importance of combining strategic thinking with creative flair. It is the synergy between these two elements that enables us to build brands that both resonate and inspire.

Conclusion

The process of shaping a brand, from the roughest idea to a gleaming, polished end product, is both challenging and rewarding. And just like the soft glow of an alabaster lamp, the end result is often a source of warmth and inspiration for those who encounter it. At Social Roots, we take pride in helping brands tell their story and bring their vision to life.
