At Social Roots, we use AI as a tool, not a replacement for creativity. Claude can speed up the first draft. But professional artwork needs editable text, checked fonts, managed colours and files you can hand over to a designer or production team.
ClaudeInDesign.com grew out of that agency workflow: bridging an AI design and a document you can genuinely work with. You do not have to rebuild every element by hand. You remain responsible for the content, design and final production checks.
From Claude Design to Adobe InDesign
How it works

Export your Claude design
Create your design in Claude and download the export, such as HTML or a ZIP containing HTML, CSS and images. Start with the original design export, not a flattened PDF.

Analyse the design
Open ClaudeInDesign.com and load your export. The tool analyses the design in your browser and creates a normalised design package for the next step.

Rebuild it in InDesign
Use the companion InDesign UXP plugin to reconstruct the package as native InDesign objects: text frames, shapes, swatches and linked images.

Check and finish
Review conversion reports, fonts, text wrapping, images and colours. Refine the layout and perform your usual production checks before publishing or sending to print.

Editable text
Text blocks become InDesign text frames with paragraph formatting. Update your copy without rebuilding the entire design.
Font matching
The plugin matches fonts against those installed in your InDesign environment. Check the matches before finalising the document.
Swatches and vectors
Colours become named RGB or CMYK swatches. Supported vector shapes are rebuilt as editable objects rather than a single flattened image.
Images and reports
Continue with linked images and review conversion reports to check discrepancies. The result still depends on the source design.

No. This workflow starts with the exported Claude design. It analyses and rebuilds the layout rather than placing a PDF on a page as a single flat image.
Is my design sent to a server for analysis?
File analysis runs in your browser. The product settings state that design files and assets are not uploaded or stored by default. See the product website for current privacy terms.
Is the result immediately print-ready?
Not without checks. Review fonts, text wrapping, image quality, colour settings and bleed. Conversion reports support your review but do not replace professional finishing.
