CTR
CTR is the Click Through Rate: the percentage of people who saw your ad and clicked through.
CTR measures whether your message triggers enough interest to click. A CTR of one percent means one out of every hundred impressions led to a visit.
It is primarily a diagnostic instrument. If CTR drops while reach stays flat, your creative is wearing out. If CTR is high but nobody converts, the ad promises something the page does not deliver.
Clicks are not a goal in themselves. An ad with a modest CTR that attracts buyers beats a click magnet delivering tourists.
How we do it
We use CTR to judge creative and to time when new imagery is needed.
